Σεισμός μεγέθους 5 βαθμών με εστιακό βάθος δύο χιλιομέτρων σημειώθηκε στην ανατολική Τουρκία, σύμφωνα με το Ευρωπαϊκό Μεσογειακό Σεισμολογικό Κέντρο (EMSC). Αρχικά το EMSC είχε αναφέρει πως ο σεισμός είχε μέγεθος 5,6 βαθμών.
